Voice Description
My voice is "pleasant and listenable", as I've been told many times over the years. I am flexible enough to read poetry, read audiobook or story material with character voices, present product information, perform comedy sketches. I'm also usually the one who the pastors ask to do any readings that are required during our church services.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I am pretty good at picking up accents or dialects after a fairly short time of listening to them. Normally, I can do British, Irish, French, Italian, East Indian, Australian, Yiddish, plus American regional dialects such as Southern, New York, New England, or almost anything if I have a sample to practice with.
My Voice Experience
When I worked at the corporate headquarters of Curtis & Associates, a job-training company which has since been assimilated by larger firms, the head of the product department asked me to produce and record weekly product information bites, about three minutes each, for broadcasting over the company's internal voice mail system. I was surprised by the assignment, as I had never done anything like it before, but it went well and a number of people asked me how long I had been in radio before joining the company.
My Training
I have many years of experience as a semi-professional folk singer and a barbershop singer. As far as formal training, honestly, I don't have any to speak of.
My Studio Equipment
My own home studio is modest, but effective. I have an Alesis USB mixer plugged into a Compaq Presario CQ50-series laptop, running Windows Vista Home Premium. My best microphone is an ElectroVoice RE510 condenser. I use Audacity ver. 1.2.6 as my recording software.
Additional Skills
I am not afraid of performance, either live or recorded. I have never suffered a moment's stage fright, which is a real blessing. I like to be flexible and creative, but I don't mind taking direction from others. I consider myself to be a good team player.
