English is my primary language. Born in Arkansas, reared in Alabama, and "handicapped" by a southern accent, while in college I learned the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) and taught myself Midwestern American Standard English as a "2nd Language". The study of American Dialects became my focused avocation in my English Degree.
I speak a clean "accent-free" American English. It is my most comfortable voice. I can also provide a variety of New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi dialects, a quite accurate Scottish Brogue, and Clean informed British "London" English. I also do a quite convincing Northern English trash 'wif dem syllables missin' (reminiscent of Michale Cole); and good ole "heard-it-before" Cockney... Aussie, and more... Ask me, I'll give it a shot and if I can't hit it, I'll let you know.
