Voice Description

I like to describe my voice as a clear sound that can do many things. It can be soft and friendly or be strong. It can remain sexy and inviting or keep it real while being urban. It can also be goofy when it needs to be. I have a "little boy" voice bit that folks like and hopefully one day it will sneak into a cartoon or something like that. I sometimes call my voice the "Southern Avoid", but by growing up in the South the Southern blend sneaks in. However, I still get joy when folks in the South ask me if I'm from around here.

My Voice Experience

The experience of my voice has a big family tree. I volunteered my way into radio without any experience and did lots of things I didn't get paid for. I've been in broadcasting for 6 years. I've talked the Oldies Format, Urban Format, and the Adult Contempary Format. I guess you can say I've used my voice to touch and communicate to a vast audience. I've voiced slide shows for Non Profit Organizations and various commericals for different clients. I've also used my voice in church promos too. I've used my voice in the Press Box for announcing Junior Varsity Football and for High School Marching Band Competitions. I've been the Emcee at various functions too. I hope this gives you an idea of the experience of my voice.

My Training

On Air Radio experience has been a big help in training. The different formats went a long way too. Deejaying Weddings & other functions serve as a great tool for me. My Major in College was Electronic Journalism and English. I think my experience serves as training too.
