My Voice Experience
TDC graduated from the American Musical Dramatic Academy {AMDA} in New York City. TDC's work has taken him from Broadway to TV/Film. Throughout his career he has had the chance to work with many talented artists.
TDC's Theatre credits include the First National Tour and the Tony Award Winning Broadway production of the musical RENT, where he performed the role of Benny. Soon after he performed in RENT, TDC joined the Broadway cast of the smash hit musical, Jekyll and Hyde' in the role of Jack. The show starred Broadway veterans Linder Eder and Robert Cuccioli.
TDC performed the role of Joey Linden, a guitarist in a rock band who has to decide between the drugs and the music, life or death, in the Independent Film, 'The Rock that Made Us.' The film debuted at the Mid-West Film Festival to great reviews, and is currently being submitted around the Industry to various film festivals. The movie was produced by Skyline Entertainment and Directed by Daniel B. Iske.
He was also a part of many readings for new shows, one of which, Josephine's Song, highlighted the wonderful contribution the life of Josephine Baker had on the entertainment industry. It was directed by the associate artistic director of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Mr. Kent Gash.
Long before TDC arrived on Broadway, he paid his dues performing at some of the countries top regional theatres. He played the role of Al in the St. Louis Repertory/Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park joint production of the Operetta, 'The Most Happy Fella'. This further expanded his musical taste as well as his dance background as the show required heavy Jazz and Ballet dance technique.
Soon thereafter he performed in the Alabama Shakespeare Festival's production of 'Five Guys Named Moe'. Not able to let go of a good thing, TDC also performed the role of the tap dancing NO MOE, in the TheatreVirginia production of Five Guys, as well.
In 2000, TDC found himself at the head of the pack with a surprising Grammy Nomination for the album, 'Here's the Deal', by the Jazz/Funk band Liquid Soul.
The band chose TDC's foot-stomping song, 'Stop by Monies' to perform live on NBC's 'The Today Show' as they traveled around the country showcasing the album's work. The song was sung by Simone, daughter of Jazz great, Nina Simone.
