Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Younger, older, elderly, Southern, French, Irish, British, Cajun... I have performed a Bahamian voice, a Jamaican, as a Leprechaun, effeminate, macho, Italian-American, Mafioso...

Although I do not speak French fluently, my pronunciation is exceptional.

I have an excellent ear for dialects, accents and languages and can reproduce many. If you have a specific voice you would like to hear, let me give you my interpretation.

My Voice Experience

I started my career as a Disc Jockey with a Top-40 show. I hosted live talk-show segments and read news, weather and ad copy on air, Off air I produced prerecorded commercials, PSAs, promos and news reports. I then moved into television as an on-camera reporter and as the host of several television shows and infomercials. I also voiced hundreds of commercials, PSAs and narrated documentaries.

After earning my M.F.A. from Florida State University's Film School, I became a professor of film, video and audio production and continued my voiceover work producing documentaries, narratives, websites, PSAs and voicing the university telephone system. I have created an extensive range of character voices and accents, and played character roles in film and video.

My Training

M.F.A in Film from the Florida State University Motion Picture, Television & Recording Arts Conservatory, 1992.

B.A. in Communications from Florida Atlantic University, 1990.

Toured the United States and Canada with the musical group, Up With People and graduated from Up With People High School (now defunct, but yes, it did exist).

Toured Asia and the United States with the musical extravaganza The Young Americans for four years spending two performing on stage and two engineering and mixing theatrical sound.

As an academic for over 15 years, the amount of classes, workshop and seminars I have taught or attended are too numerous to mention here.

My Studio Equipment

For voiceovers, I own a Sennheiser MKH 416 professional shotgun microphone (the best mic for voice ever manufactured) housed in a blimp; and a handheld Electrovoice 635A (used in many broadcasting applications).

I record in my own sound booth on a Zoom H4n Digital Recorder or directly into my computer editor. I can edit audio in Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro or Avid Xpress Pro and output in any format you desire. I can e-mail the file, upload it to your site, or mail it to you on CD/DVD, flash drive or SD card.

I own a fully equipped production company, Mountain Vista Productions, LLC in Denver, Colorado complete with HDSLR camera and lenses, a crane, steadycam, green screen and light kits.
