Voice Description

I have the ability to be fun and energetic or cool, smooth, warm, friendly or powerful, can also be raspy or give a great "Monster Truck" like read. I am very versatile, and can be very professional in my reads if that is what you are looking for. I describe one of my character voices as an old Blues musician with a raspy urban delivery, I can also be very nerdy or have a lisp, I am very capable of doing a John Leguizamo kind of read from Ice age and can also do a underling gangster voice. If you can describe what you are looking for, I am sure I can deliver it with a little practice. I think doing voices for animals or creatures would be a blast for me.

My Voice Experience

I have been a Production Director for two radio stations for over ten years and in that time have had to be very versatile to make commercials with different sounds. I have voiced everything from WWE spots to NHL promos. I have done voiceovers for just about every sportsbar or restaurant in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area in my ten year career. I have produced, written and voiced hundreds of Station promos, and routinely do spots for Rock venues such as Alltel pavilion and Koko booth amphitheater. Three times I have voiced spots for the Renaissance fair when travelling through Raleigh.

My Training

On my fourth birthday my mother bought me a radio with a microphone and from then on, I spent hours telling stories and making up voices, changing my inflections and tones. I then joined radio as a 17 year old and made it even more of a hobby(and got paid to do it!)and also expanded into acting and have been in 10 plays and 2 independent films, in one, I portrayed the big bad wolf from the fairytale stories. I also write Children's plays as well as screenplays. I have been the most used voice at our radio station for the ten years I have been there and have dedicated myself to getting more versatile. I have a PHD in hands on Radio voiceover talent, I coach talent and can take instruction like a Pro.

I won an award in 2002 for Best promo in the State of North Carolina from the North Carolina association of Broadcasters. I am an extremely hard working and dedicated professional who thoroughly loves what he does.
