Voice Description

Described as seasoned, warm, and honest for commercials. Sincere and enthusiastic for promos. Knowledgable and relaxed for training and business presentation. Offbeat, Toy Storyish, from dark to light for video games...have a few good demonic, dark side characterizations. For documentaries, I am an empathetic storyteller, capable of being wry and funny and other times being compassionate and philosophic. Alternatively for video games and film, movies voice can be agitated, loud, angry, scary, obnoxious, great shout, melancholy, whiny, dark, demonic. For Film and movie trailers, I can be bombastic, and excited. My singing voice has been singled out for its uniqueness and honesty and compared to Tom Waits, David Gray, Rod Stewart, Lyle Lovett. I have acted in a numbe of plays notably playing Bob Cratchet in the Dicken's classic, A Christmas Carol, where I was required to sing a couple of originals songs. I have alson done ADR work as part of a loop group for a Michael Landon Jr directed film.

Do a decent irish accent. Played and sang in an Irish band at one time. Can do a fair Tom Waits Have a fair ear for character emulations.

My Voice Experience

Only recently started. I have been a professional musician, engineer and producer all my life. Recently did a loop group for a movie directed by Michael Landon Jr. where I did a number of voices, doctors, elder Hamish people. I have been invited to demo on a number of projects, Seattle Mariners, BC Tel, McDonald's
I have acted in a number of plays including, Christmas Story, Skin of our Teeth etc.
Jim Bredouw, the Nike main composer and music guy had always recommended that I try voice-overs.

My Training

Played music professionally my whole life. Singer/songwriter, producer, engineer, and have done some acting most notably Bob Cratchet in the Dickens classic "Christmas Carol"

I have my own studio with digital work-station running Digital Performer on Mac running Snow Leopard complete with most of the top virtual instruments and SFX. Microphones include: Sanken CU41,, AEA Ribbon, pair Neumann KM 84's. and others
External mic pre amps, eq's and compressors by Tube-Tech. Apogee Rosetta 200 conversion. KRK's V8 for main monitors. Auratones for small.

Additional Skills

I am able to compose, play and record backing tracks such as music or SFX or foley. Am able to essentially produce tracks that are mixed, cleaned and ready for prime-time. I play really good keyboards and passable guitar. I utilize drum virtual instruments such as BFD, Storm Drum, EZ Drummer, etc for percussion.
