Voice Description

My voice is extremely versatile and I can adapt for every production. Traditionally I have a warm, deep British broadcast voice but I can be equally up-beat and fun for commercials.

I have been a broadcaster since 1989, reading and presenting for a number of companies including the BBC and ITV. Therefore I can voice serious items with authority and without regional accent.

I am also a character specialist and can develop persona's specifically for a project. I have many celebrity impressions and styles including Hugh Grant, Michael Caine and Doctor Who to name but a few.

From a spoilt teen ager to an 80 year old Colonial veteran I can deliver engaging, colourful characters.

I am also very good with UK regional accents and some international ones.

My Voice Experience

I've got an idea and it's as HOT as my PANTS! - Rick Mayall (Lord Flashart) – Blackadder

My whole career has been based on the above philosophy... Only when you have a daring idea, a good script and when you can deliver it with passion, are you a real broadcaster! Therefore I always give every production my absolute best.

Experience Profile:

I have been working as a broadcaster since 1989 and have a great degree of experience in producing engaging, vibrant entertainment shows / features for transmission. I am a creative journalist (NCTJ trained) with strong writing skills, a first rate presenter and a resourceful technical operator. I am also experienced in news presentation and reporting, with a flexible on-air persona.

I am a great story teller, placing the correct emphasis on scripts to deliver the strongest message and develop exactly the tone that the client wants an item to have. I can and have over the years developed many characters specifically to fit production briefs. I have often used multiple accents and styles to illustrate a point during a single item and I am incredibly flexible, shifting seamlessly between them.

I am capable of writing, voicing and editing items in the field where required, producing items to tight deadlines and working to a brief. On-air I can deliver serious reports with credibility, yet become an entertaining personality where the subject allows. I also have many impressions and can become a range of celebrity characters where required.

I have been a journalist, covering news since 1995 and have reported on numerous challenging stories in a range of testing circumstances including a war zone and a riot. During my career I have been sent sky diving, abseiling, rally driving and 'off-roading' in the Sahara. I have presented from the studio (anchorman), live via O.B. and delivered great packages to tight deadlines time after time.

Most recently I have been presenting and producing 'The Fast Lane' motoring series, the 'Spy Guide' travel feature and the 'Circuit' celebrity chat / entertainment feature show. I continue to voice car reviews, entertainment features and travel items on a regular basis. TFL also includes some incredibly wacky sketches and my versatile vocal / on-screen talents are called upon every week to add colour, humour and off-beat comedy.

I can present TV, radio, or corporate productions with equal enthusiasm and operate a tremendous range of production / post production equipment. I am a trained Avid (Television) editor, I am also familiar with a range of audio editing packages such as Sound Forge, and Cool Edit Pro. In addition, I have experience of encoding items for web delivery.
