Voice Description

My normal speaking voice can be a rich deep male vocal quality.Normally a little higher than Barry White and more like a speaker from the midwest. I am a school teacher and can be quite animated. I am also an USAF reserve medic and can sound like a drill sargent since I am actual a Master sargent. With practice I can do dialects. I can sing and create vocal images when reading to children.

My Voice Experience

Most of my experience is in reading and writing for school. I have performed in high school and college plays. In recent years I have sung in church and to my children when they were quite small. I have given many lectures and spoken to many groups as a speaker for the American Red Cross on medical related issues and using CPR. I have been an elected officer in my teacher union giving talks and speeches to other teachers and adults in my school district. I have also taught in our state education association, teaching in services and offering classes to adults. I have also taught in Junior Colleges in Illinois.

My Training

I have been in theater in high school and in college and have been in plays and variety shows and choruses in college. I took vocal performance and choir in college and toured with our college chorus in my senior year. I did a limited microphone work during plays and learned by watching and listening to others.

Additional Skills

I have a wide variety of skills in music and voice. But I am also a teacher of science, computers and have studied math and psychology extensively. I currently teach high school, but I have taught college and grade school. I am an USAF reserve medic and have been deployed to Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraqi and also aided in rescue efforts for victims of Katrina and Rita.
