My Voice Experience

I have appeared in over 90 TV Commercials in the UK, Europe and a few for the USA. I have performed on stage and in film and TV. To be honest, I have done very little actual voice-over work as I always found it to be a closed shop. You couldn't get a voice over agent unless you had already done VO work but you couldn't get VO work unless you had an agent! Bit of a chicken and egg situation!

My Training

I have worked a professional mime artiste since 1976. I know what you're thinking" A mime artiste? Well, they don't speak do they?" Well yes we do actually! Mime is no longer just a silent art. Look at the work of Steven Berkoff for example, he trained as a mime but his stage plays are crammed with vocal and linguistic expertise. I played the title role in his one man play "Harry's Christmas" on stage for four weeks, and that is basically an hour long monologue. I have given workshops to corporate businesses to give their employees better communication skills, and apart from body language that also included vocal exercises to improve their projection.
