Voice Description

I have almost perfect pitch. I am a musician and singer. I have an unusually diverse range along with a very good "ear". I have the abiltiy to impersonate a variety of dialects, accents, and also a number of famous voices. Warm and deep for narrations, sexy and fun(even comical or intimidating if necessary;think - Clint Eastwood for example) for commercials, smooth and professional for presentations are all within my reach. Oddly enough, it was only last year I learned these skills are actually marketable (can be revenue generating)for me. I was unexpectadly approached and asked if I would be interested in doing some of this type of "work". I have not done much of it yet, but did find it to be easy, as well as enjoyable, and it only required one afternoon to produce the desired solution for this client. I only recently learned about your company, and now beginning to look into additional possibilities.

My Voice Experience

I have been in bands since I was 17. I have (emulated) "impersonated" a number of famous voices of artists for 20 years. Consequently I am good at it. The majority of this "work" has been within the realm of performing songs, however (almost involuntarily) I learned to become a very active listener, not only to lyrics and the way in which they are delivered, but to screams and shouts and other little nuances which can lend themselves to a trademark sound. I have been told on more than one ocassion (by other musicians as well as audience members) that I actually sounded better than the radio version by the original "Stars". A compliment of the highest order as I see it. My "voice-over" experience is rather limited as I mentioned earlier, I was approached unexpectadly. One piece was for a Physicians office, the other for a Travel Agent who was a friend of the family of one of the Physicians. I taught Ballroom Dancing for a number of years in Columbus Ohio, and "MC'd" many events live, which is not "voice over" but is voice; I am no stranger to a microphone, or an audience, and being "On" excites me - I have NO stage fright, in fact I have the opposite of stage fright; I love being "ON", it is a thrill for me.

My Training

See above.

My Studio Equipment

I have a 32 track digital recording studio in my home. I have an assortment of microphones; "condensors", which require phantom power as well as other direct types for instrments as well as vocals which do not. The studio is a Korg D3200 with many effects(too many to list), including a feature called "session drums" with which I can create the auditory illusion that their is an entire band...when in fact; It is just me. I am an artist, not an engineer, but over the years (and changes in personnel)have learned more than enough to produce numerous demos(as well as full length CDs) which have led to many bookings, as well as a humble East Coast (local)fan base.
