Voice Description

I have a sultry sensual voice which is adaptable to a wide range of characters. I'm a trained signer and can add lyrical tones in anything from a whisper to full-blown rock-n-roll.
There is a slight raspy whisper which adds depth and character to my voice which I can exaggerate if needed.
I am flexible with age range anything from a high squeeky pitch to teenage attitude to a smooth adult.
I can add a natural heavy NYC/Brooklyn accent for character work.

My Voice Experience

My stage name is Tibbie X and I am a NYC based rock-n-roll singer with over 15 years of experience. I have traveled all over Europe performing and discovered I could do voice overs when I was asked to play a child's voice for a friends Japanimation cartoon.
My first professional voiceover job was through Richard Jacobs, a rock-n-roll commercial for Wa-Was in Jersey, (a chain like 7-11) which was broadcast on the radio. I was so excited I took a class at Hunter College with Steve Harris and also studied privately with Steve Harris. My singing experience put me ahead of the other students, already comfortable with recording, memorizing quickly and being infront of the microphone.
I have since done commercial work for nokia, trojan and my voiceover won the 2008 promax awards. I LOVE acting and recording and I look forward to more voiceovers.

My Training

I have performed singing all over the world and in NYC at cbgbs, Knitting factory, The Cutting Room etc.. and have recorded numerous albums in various bands such as The X-Possibles, Kissy Kamikaze, Backseat Lovers and solo under the stage name Tibbie X. I recently played a tough bronx zombie killer in the series "Zombie Hunters City of the Dead" and also my music is being used for the theme song.

I worked for 4 years in a NYC 24 hour record store when I was younger and we would imitate the customers, I developed a wide range of characters I can still do to this day. I studied at Hunter college with Steve Harris and continued with him after the course ended. I took an improv class at Upright Citizens Brigade and am also a natural in the studio.

Additional Skills

As an experienced professional singer I have an innate ability to quickly learn lines and understanding of the desired delivery. I honestly enjoy voiceover work and it comes through in my recordings, I find it extremely exciting and I love acting.
I had a boring phone answering job for an upscale art gallery years ago and I would experiment with different voices over the phone and often got compliments on my voice. Using different voices is a joy for me and I look forward to more opportunities to use my natural talent.
