My Voice Experience
Classically trained Shakespeare voice but I've narrated projects from baseball (NAIA World Series Highlights) to classroom videos.
started out looking for a stage career or teaching theatre. My first role was "young Okinowan boy with goat" in "Teahouse of the August Moon" at age 6 -- so I started with dialects early on.
In graduate school I concentrated on Shakespeare, touring with The Commedians troupe out of WSU. It was at that time that I got some radio experience at our ASB FM station, KZUU. I also did my first voice over work for Media Services at the school, including an Agriculture Outreach slide and sound show that was presented in developing nations around the world.
I went on from there to work as a narrator and producer for a smaller school in Idaho but we had quite a workload. I produced an average of ten project a year of 30 mins+ length.
In one project on NW Salmon populations I narrated and played historical characters featuring Scots, Irish, Rural Outdoorsy, and Native American voices. The project editors asked me who I got to do the character roles.
In my current work I create and implement live and online training including multimedia and voice content.
My Training
I've had stage voice training but most of my ability results from gifts+ experience.
