Voice Description

I have a deep voice that resonates well. It's rich and smooth, perfect for narration voiceovers, or host/announcing work. My voice also naturally lends itself to an heroic-type character, based on its inflection and tone. This can also easily be modified to play a villain, as it is a perfect voice for a sinister or cocky antagonist. Without any character acting, however, my voice is still great for presentations or professional work. In a pinch, it will also work well for recorded messages, like computerized telephone menus and hold messages.

My Voice Experience

Well, for starters, I've done video narration, host work, theater acting, singing, and PA announcements. For as long as I've been doing film and video projects with my peers that involve sound, I have been the guy to go to. I've worked with companies and organizations before to provide narration and host work, and I've got even more experience in student projects and other video work. I provided the voiceover for a video commemorating the 50th anniversary of a Jewish temple in south Orange County, as well as hosted- live- an internet show where I interviewed up-and-coming businesses. I've dabbled in singing and music, and I've been asked to come into television workshops that I wasn't enrolled in at my college to do narration work for them.

My Training

From 8th grade to now, I've been taking Drama and Film classes. I've learned how to project my voice, and all of the films i've been in have taught me how a microphone picks it up. I've been in bands before, a couple that recorded albums, where I've done lead and background vocals. I've taken advice and training from sound professionals, teachers, singers, theater actors, and directors.

Additional Skills

I ran track. I still like to ride my bike. I've got a set of lungs, that's for sure. When I worked for Bose as a salesperson, we would (and they still do) run a show about their Lifestyle Home Entertainment System. I would announce when those shows were starting on a PA system over the store. As a guilty pleasure, I sometimes play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, which gives me ample opportunity to practice and play with my voice.
