I am a rapper and spoken word artist, so I have practiced clarity and communication as a performer throughout the NY area and have been for many years. I have recorded 2 LP's and 1 EP and as a result, I am extremely familiar with the recording process and vocal intonations. I hold a degree in Audio Engineering and Music Business from Massachusetts Communications College, so I am also very familiar with the workings of a studio setting as well as equipment. I've had many odd jobs throughout my music career in New York City, one being a PT nanny to family, which is when I discovered my skill at conveying excitement and learning to children through books.
Associate's of Science Degree in Audio Engineering and Music Business- Boston, MA 1999
Certified Proof Reader- New York, NY 2008
Being a musician in NYC, I have access to MANY different studios in the five boroughs, however at my personal residence I possess a Tascam Hard Disk Recorder with Memory Card Outputs, compatible microphones, and my computer.
My voice is my livelihood. It serves as my weapon when I produce music and I believe words are power. Over the years as I've recorded, I've been asked more than once by sound engineers if I had ever considered Voice Over work. I figure since they work with voices and sounds all the time, they may be on to something. I am highly personable, with a naturally happy disposition and I like to please. I pride myself on my work and my work ethic and thus have high expectations for myself and any work with which I am affiliated. I have managed retail stores, offices and been the producer for the majority of my music work, so I have no issue with taking responsibility or initiative.
