Voice Description

First of all, my multi-dimensional voice shows true aspects of my personality so all of my tones are believable. These tones range from a little girl to a seductress to an old woman. Although I adjust my voice to what I suspect listeners expect, I surprise listeners with pauses and inflections for dramatic effect. I'm an expert in changing my voice from one emotion to another as appropriately needed for a script. An example is changing from excitement to compassion.

My voice can be persuasive and knowledgeable wthout being too authoritative. I can show my smooth, seductive tone for a calming voice. I use a conversational voice for putting listeners at ease. Children like to hear me be a character in a story and I know how to hold a children's attention with expression. All in all, I know how to keep my voice expressive, mesmerizing, and credible at all times, just by being an aspect of me.

My Voice Experience

I have over 25 years experience as a trainer and began voiceovers by writing and narrating an audiovideo script including choosing background music and selecting and synching two simultaneous slide shows to go along with it. The professional organization that saw it gave it rave reviews. I progressed to voiceover for pay. I next served as a guest on talk show radio, Internet seminars, and have hosted my own talk show radio program. At the radio station, I also spun music, read the news and commercials, and wrote and made public service announcements.

My "claim to fame" was having a car of 4-6 women stop at the radio station asking to see who was the announcer on the air. It was me! When I began my own talk show radio program at a leased time radio station, the program director asked to use my programs to fill all the unleased time slots since he said my programs were of such "high quality."

My Training

My degrees include a Specialist in Education degree in Counseling; a Master of Education degree in Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and specialize in career counseling, training, free-lance writing, marketing, public relations, sales, talk show radio programs, and voiceovers. In my professional experiences, I have given presentations in front of audiences of varying sizes and types.

I have written scripts; radio commercials; brochures; countless resumes; and written articles for newspapers, newsletters, fund raising letters, and magazine articles. I have been interviewed on the radio and for magazine articles as well.

I am a world traveler and enjoy ballroom dancing, country western dancing, and photography.
