Voice Description

First, I would like to state unequivacably that I am a natural born American who speaks English as a first language to avoid any confusion in the future such as just happened losing a very nice little contract. I speak ONLY English and it is my FIRST language.
After a long and successful career in engineering and business I am now using the voice development that I gained having spoken before groups ranging from one to many hundreds in conference rooms and conference halls. I have also sung in Churches and meetings in a rich bass baritone voice without amplification or other electronics. I project well, have excellent diction and a wide vocabulary. I am comfortable with technical terms, am expressive, persuasive and yet compassionate. I do not attempt the hard sell but rather to be instructional, authoritative and convincing.

I have been often told that I have a warm sexy voice by females while also being told by a lawyer that if I didn't know something I "would make up an answer and then deliver it with such authority you had to believe it."

My children and now grandchildren love having me read to them as do many adult acquaintences saying that I make a book come alive to them.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I do not attempt impersonations but can effect an Irish or Scottish brogue if needed, otherwise I use my own natural voice and prefer doing so.

My Voice Experience

My voice over experience at present is limited, my voice experience is however, rather extensive with over 40 years in professional practice.

My Training

The quality of my voice has been developed by years of using it in many and a large variety of business and public speaking occasions as well as singing without electronic amplification with light opera, popular, gospel and "show" songs.

My Studio Equipment

I use an ST55 condensor microphone through an Alesis Multimix8 USB mixer to a computer through Audacity software to record and edit and export voice files in either WAV or MP3 formats. At this point, I do not attempt to add music or sound effects to any track preferring to allow the client to add what they deem appropriate. I have therefore not attempted to build a library of royalty free music as yet although that is a possibility in the future.
