Voice Description
My delivery style has been described as reassuring, warm, conversational, confident. I can be intense, intimate and even heartwrenching if the copy requires. And though I do them infrequently, I can growl out an aggressive, hard-sell spot with the best of 'em. For business presentations, sales and web sites I tend to be more laid-back and easygoing.
Please take a moment to listen to each of my demos - you'll get a better idea of what I can do. If you have questions, just click on any of the "Contact" buttons on this page.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Street punk, surfer dude, overstuffed politician, redneck, nerd, Clint Eastwood style, generic foreigner, deadpan narrator, Rod Serling soundalike, Milo Styloh the Supreme Interior Designer, or generally about as politically incorrect as you want to get.
Basically, it's this: Got an idea? Try me!
My Voice Experience
I've spent years listening to the voices in my head!
As a copywriter and production director, it's been my pleasure to work side-by-side with a wide variety of clients. I've written and produced ads and campaigns, done on-air comedy shorts, put together station promos and liners, won ADDY awards, acted in radio plays. My voice is currently heard on the liners for "Hot Rod Radio USA" with Wings Kalahan, as well as market-specific radio ads for the National Street Rod Association's regional events. I've recently done a series of narrations for instructional videos produced by Link-It Software, and am writing, editing and producing an ongoing series of online customer testimonials for the same company.
99.9% of what I've done has been limited in nature - you won't hear my voice anywhere else. I'm fresh and new to your market.
My Training
Attended South Dakota State University, Brookings SD working toward a broadcast journalism degree. Got impatient, left early to jump into the real world, never looked back. Everything I've learned since then has been pretty much self-taught, along with much-appreciated tutoring from a number of veteran voice artist co-workers.
My Studio Equipment
Recording gear is basic but bulletproof. It includes a veteran, maybe even collectible, copy of Cool Edit Pro (which became Adobe Audition) multi-track software that I absolutely refuse to give up. I also own and use Sony Sound Forge. My current voiceover microphone is a Marshall Electronics MXL 770, which is routed through a Mackie VLZ mixer into a PC workstation.
Additional Skills
Have had quite a bit of experience in retail, having owned and operated (and recently sold) a video store and tanning salon.
I'm a lifelong gearhead, so if you have anything related to cars, racing, hotrods or other internal combustion stuff I'm all over it.
Enjoy photography as a semi-serious part-time hobby.
