My Voice Experience

I have no practical voice over experience, but I am a songwriter with my own home studio, and as a result, do know how to work with proper mic technique.

I have been in sales for almost 30 years, and have been told repeatedly by my customers that I have "an excellent voice for radio". I guess it's time to find out if that is really true.

I travel throughout the eastern half of Canada on business, and have spent a lot of time listening to audio books, and spoken radio broadcast over the years. I recognize the skills required to do quality voice over work, and will not waste your time by auditioning for things I know I am unsuited for.

Additional Skills

I have a working knowledge of a variety of different industries, and know the correct pronunciations of the techinical terms used in those industries. I can sound knowledgeable on a variety of different topics, and if I don't know, I'm not afraid to ask someone in that field for guidance.

I can also help in the editting of copy on occasion. As a vocalist, I understand how words that can scan well on paper may not always sound as good when recorded.

Although I'm a songwriter, I don't feel that promoting myself as a jingle writer is appropriate here, as my instrumental skills are not good enough.
