Terry DeMarco

A Catchy Voice That's Honest, Friendly, Believable

Voice Description

I have a youthful and mature voice. It is friendly and upbeat for commercials. A guy next door type voice with an age range of 20-40. I can also perform with the smooth confidence of a professional for training projects, presentations, and spots that include technical terms like medical or IT related projects. Depending on the narration project, I can provide a soft cheery voice or a deep no-nonsense voice.

My Voice Experience

I was known as "The Voice of Gconnection" when I recorded the weekly update to our website and broadcast it via voicemail to our sales force.

My Training

In High school, I had a flair for drama. I acted in plays and I sang in the choir and at local variety shows. I received my Bachelor's degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. I majored in Communications. I've spent many years in the IT industry so I am familiar with the technical jargon and I am comfortable using the software and hardware products that comprise my home studio. I have trained with the coaches at Such A Voice and am currently listed as a voice talent on their web site

My Studio Equipment

I have a studio set up in my home that can easily be packed up for travel as needed. I have an HP laptop running ProTools LE version 8. I use an Mbox Mini interface and I have several microphones including a Behringer B1 condenser mike and an EV Blue Cardinal Cardioid Condenser mike. I can hear myself loud and clear through my SennHeiser HD 280 professional headphones. I also have a couple of Media One monitors but I don't use them much.

Additional Skills

I've spent time as a web designer and an IT developer. As such, I know nothing is impossible. Expensive, maybe, but not impossible. I am flexible, good natured, and I grew up with an Italian mother, so I KNOW how to take direction. I'm easy to work with and eager for an opportunity to demonstrate my talent.
