I have a natural baritone voice delivered in a native British accent that's a product of my upbringing in suburban North London. Due to my background as a TV anchor with the BBC and CNN I can provide a solid authoritative read if required for a business presentation or an industrial project. I can also sound warm, sophisticated and sincere for documentary narration or commercial work. I can be gravel voiced for radio and TV promos and trailers, and I have a sinister character voice for animation work. If you require offbeat and quirky I can provide an authentic pythonesque delivery, and I can also be the guy next door, especially if the guy next door is the harried father of three demanding kids.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I am adept at mimicking British regional accents and can deliver convincing reads in Cockney (blue collar London or David Beckham meets the Geico gecko), Scouse(Liverpool - think the Beatles), North of England (Noel Gallagher and Morrisey), and Irish (in the educated Dublin-ish brogue of a Pierce Brosnan or Bono). Thanks to spending some time in Australia I can also become a convincing Aussie on cue.

My Voice Experience

Though it didn't register at the time, I began doing voice over work at the age of five when I appeared with my father in a Nigerian TV commercial for a double-glazing company that was filmed at a studio in London, England. The narration was dubbed on after the filming and my line was "Like this, Mom", which I presume commanded a hefty fee, though I only recall being paid by my agent/dad in candy bars!

I didn't voice anything again until many years later when, as a newspaper journalist in London, I had a chance meeting with a TV producer who liked my voice and asked me to present and narrate a series for BBC Schools television entitled, Getting to Grips with Racism. More TV and voice over work followed. I became the "voice of the people" for a community action show in the south-east of England, imaginatively titled "Action!". I then joined "Newsround", which is the longest running news magazine show on British tv, and spent five years there as a reporter and narrator for numerous reports and longer form documentaries. After Newsround I became an anchor/reporter for BBC News and was subsequently headhunted by CNN in Atlanta where I wrote and voiced countless reports and long form specials on a variety of sports topics. I recently left CNN to focus on voice over and have since been signed by two major agents in Atlanta -- AMT and the Umberger Agency.
