My Voice Experience

Your going to do what? This is the respone I heard when I told my husband that I was refocusing my career goals from executive level marketing to voice talent professional! After years of sales, marketing and management in the corporate world, I decided that my corporate experience could be put to better use and allow more time for my large family of 8.

I began my voice over career recently when putting together a power point presentation. After hours in fron of the computer and my project complete, I decided to add narration eventhough it was not required by the company. When the presentation was reviewed the positive comments that followed focused not on the visual, but the audio. i have since contracted to several companies for the same type voice over work.

You could say I am new to the industry. But, in reality, my voice has been the key to my career over the years. With experience ranging from seminar speaking, training sales professioanl to use their voice as a selling tool and producing marketing presentations, I am an old hand that has found a new beginning.

Additional Skills

My background is not in this profession but, instead, in the professional sales world. I have taught my sales associates for years that sales in 80% presentation, 20% product value. Sell yourself! And how do we do that? By making ourselves easy to listen to by adding the perfect mix of voice inflection, exclamation and tone. This skill is one that has taken me far in the executive world and one that I feel certain, will take me even farther in the professional world of voice over talent.
