caribbean accents broad accent and upper class. jamaica.
barbados, st kitts, trinidad.
there may be more, i can't think of, or haven't discovered yet but i think that's more than enough. lol
My Voice Experience
i haven't actually had any voice over experience as such. however i have recorded the odd few commercials for local radio. one in which i had to role play alongside a comedienne, in a birmingham street slang/caribbean patois accent. i come from a music and radio production background. I have guested on and presented, on many local and community radio facilities in the last few years.
My Training
i trained in work experience with the bbc and have produced a few shows over the years which have taught me how to listen to words and the impact of their's sound in deliverence.
i also trained at the aston villa station with a few community broadcasters on presentational and broadcasting skills. where i learned how to share my voice with others by having a friendly tone.
i regularly dj locally as a hobbie and host myself. i have had positive feedback on my natural manner, tone and clarity.
one of my jobs when working in a store was to make announcements on a in store pa system all day long. people would randomly express their joy at hearing such a pleasant voice.
My Studio Equipment
i have access to a fee charging studio where the equipment is available to voice a vocal track fully edited to content requirement. which can then either be burnt to disc or converted to mp3 to be emailed. there may be a chance at times to gain access to a studio with ISDN connection. however this may prove difficult.
Additional Skills
well for a start i love talking (and listening to people talk) different accents and traveling.
i've always seemed to end up doing something in customer service which forces you to control your tone and pitch under pressure. plus it was a good place to see and hear the different ways people speak and interact.
i come from a musical background so i am used to the microphone being close by. voice manipulation control came from understanding what i sounded like then i'd try to sound like someone else. i feel i sound the same because my inner ear can hear my unique tone, but everyone else seems to be fooled.
i love playing phone pranks on friends, they fall for it everytime.
