Voice Description

Very experience actor known for my rich and commanding voice and a true voice talent. Mature but not elderly. Can be assertive and commanding for Corporate voice over assignments or sultry and sensual for food and cosmetic product voice-overs but sympathetic and knowledgeable and reassuring for Medical or Insurance sales for example. I am available at almost any time at short notice if necessary.

My voice certainly grabs attention and I speak RP (standard pronunciation - English European) or with a lancashire accent (Native) or dialect for which I have won prizes.

Was awarded `Best Supporting Actor' by NODA in `Whose Life Is It Anyway' in 1998 and nominated for the same award in 2000 for my part in `House Guest'.

I can do voice acting as straight serious, sensual sexy sultry, corporate authoratative and rich, calm and relaxing.

I can cycle and ski and have a full clean driving license.

My Voice Experience

As an actorI have played mostly clergymen, detectives, baristers, doctors and `dads'. I have a good radio voice and have done radio interviews with Jim Bowen, Sally Naden, Norman Prince and other Radio Lancashire presenters. Have reviewed the sunday morning papers on Radio Lancashire. My Training

I trained for and obtained a Gold Medal for acting from LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and have attended many courses in Presentation using various visual aids and have attended a Televiision Interviewing Course conducted by John Brand.

Became involved in a Community TV project and learned to present in a 3-camera studio, dismantle a assemble cameras for outside broadcasts and compiled and presented several shows - both in studio and on location - broadcast on television.

As a Senior Consultant at The National Computing Centre I made major presentations to many blue-chip companies.

I also presented at, and chaired, Seminars and Conferences. Conducted Training Courses and Workshops in IT.

I worked as Presenting Officer for The Secretary of State at Medical Tribunals. I therefore have an insight and empathy with Medical, Legal and Technology matters giving me the ability to understand and present complex technical concepts with confidence and conviction.
