Voice Description

I have a versitile voice. With two small boys age 2 and 4, I pick up on their high pitch tones and immitate them very well. I am mostly soft spoken with them so I have a soft tone. They also drive me crazy at times so my range varies depending on the mood I'm in so it can be deep and stern as well. I also have teenage neices and nephews so I pick up on their slang when I talk to them. I'm 33 so I'm young enough to still be cool when when I speak to them. My voice can also be smooth and sexy, like when I talk to my husband.

My Voice Experience

My life experiences give me the inspiration for my many voices. I immitate movies and television shows that I watch continuously.Some of my favorites are The Golden Girls, Friday, The Color Purple, Life and SpongeBob Square Pants.

My Training

I have no voice over training. I majored in drama in high school. As part of our senior final, we had to perform the senior play. We ran out of guys so I played the role of "Slim," a tall, slender young black male. I am a tall, slim, black woman who has always been "well endowed" at the top, so I was taped down and given baggy jeans and a big shirt and Timberland boots. At the end when we all bowed for the audience, I took my sweatshirt and hat off and let down my hair. The crowd went wild. They were in complete shock to find out it was me. I still talk about that to this day. Its a moment I am very proud of.

I am a stay-at-home mom, previously in public relations for over five years. With my last company, one of my clients was Vivid Entertainment, the top adult film company in the world. By the time I watch the second Vivid film, I picked up on many different voices. I laugh when I think about it.
