My Voice Experience

I do alot of work over the phone in sales and customer service. I use my voice as a means to communicates and generate business. Through my experience I have learned that you can change your sound, range and tone to get any kind of reaction or fead back you are looking for. Wether it be to soothe an angry customer, or sell a product I learned to use my voice to make people trust me without even seeing me in person. I get many compliments on my speaking voice.

My Training

I learned the power of my voice early on dealing wiht my three older brothers. Simply changing my tone from a loud whiney tone to sweet soft cuddley tone I realized they could hardly say no to me. Working in customer service and phone sales, there is definately an art in making someone from a different part of the country take interest in what you are saying, stop and grab there attension from there everyday hustle and bustle just to hear what you have to say. My last inside sales job we had weekly classes on voice inflection tone and using your voice to captivate the listener. I've taking voice and acting classes at Morris County College in New Jersey, Choir training through out my school years.

I think what may be one the the most interesting ways I learned to use is voice is being a mother. I have two children and growing up I learned that my tone wether it be soft or loud I would get a reaction out of my children. Wether I was loud and direct voice for discipline, or used a concerned voice for confiding, or the soft soothing voice to put them to sleep, I learened there is definately an art there. Also just watching narrated shows like Toy Story with the children and reading them books and storys gave me great experience as well. With little ones you have to us great narration to keep their attencsion. I use to read to there scholl classes as well. And we all know that in relationshops using our voice with our mates is a great asset, wether ist's sad and dissappointed, or sexy and demanding I use my voice to get what I want. Many people say we can rely on physical assets to manipulate I believe that our biggest asset is our voice.
