My Voice Experience

Writing youth theatre projects I once had to stand in for an actor who came down with the flu the day before the show, as I wrote the show I knew the lines and was roped into performing the part of a Firefly in an adaptation of the 'Truth About Flies... I mean Lies'.
From that point on I have had not looked back and have enjoyed being infront of the camer more than I initially thought I would have.

As I am still writing I still have to do the occassional stand in, most recently I have played an angry Jamaican man during an altercation with a Ugandan man on the way to the UK in the independent screen play 'Dupee', showing at Edinborough Film Festival, Itlay and Cologne Film Festivals.

Although not the class clown during University and actually from secondary school days I was known to impersonate all teachers to the point of near perfection except one who had a heavy Indianese accent. One primary school teacher insisted on writing a note to a fellow teacher asking her not to call her name in the corridor while she was teaching, when it was actually a ten year old me that called out her name.

My maths teacher in particular searched the entire classroom for a tape recorder because she was sure that SOMEONE was playing music because she could hear the song and the tapes movement sound at the same time, it was in fact me - I had finished my equations with more than enough time to spare.

So I have had the ability to impersonate for a long time, until now keeping these talents to pass time with those closest to me.

My love of music and singing as well as being the only non-smoker in a family of 9 has created a smooth voice with a raspy undertone.

Studio fully fitted with studio foam in a corner trap design for echo reduction, including a layer of impact barrier underneath a layer of 0.7cm thick carpet to reduce foot fall and encourage sound recording.
