My Voice Experience

My first experience with voice recordings was for puppet shows. I was on a travelling puppet ministry team and we preferred performing with recordings, so we recorded our skits and used those recordings for our performances. That allowed us to focus on making our puppets' movements more lifelike during performances.

I've also done recordings of children's books for my own children to listen to, as well as just lots of reading aloud, both children's and adults' books.

My Training

I have a Bachelor's degree in Theology/Youth Ministry, and serve as the director of the Children's Ministry Department at my church.

I have been involved in singing groups since the age of four, and had the wonderful experience of touring the east coast and England and Wales with my college chorale. We also produced a recording at a studio in Rhode Island.

During my college career I also worked in the campus radio station, doing public service announcements, weather updates and such.

I've done voice coaching for community and church theatre for many years,as well as working with children in public-speaking classes and preparing them for actual public-speaking roles.
