My Voice Experience

My entire life, people would tell me, "Oh, you have such a great voice! You should do voice overs!" Being a snobby theater person, I would smile and nod, and then walk away, scoffing. Though I had always been involved with the school radio (college and high school), done numerous speech competitions where my voice was my only tool and had received extensive vocal training both for speech and singing, the idea seemed preposterous.

One year ago, I decided, what the hey, let's give this thing a "go." I signed up for classes with the illustrious Nancy Wolfson of Braintracks Audio and suddenly...BOOM. I felt like I had found my niche.

My extensive theater and on-camera performance background gave me an edge that made me comfortable reading copy NATURALLY and with different, unique takes, while my natural voice seemed to be MADE for voice over (evidently something that is not so common).

And here I am, just a short time later. Already I've booked enough spots to keep me happy. Finally with my home equipment in hand, I'm ready to take the world by storm. Currently, I am working on three animation projects where I play parts such as a grandmother, school bully, baby girl and teenager.
