My Voice Experience

I've been reading since kindergarten. I was the kid who practically bounced out of her seat trying to get the teacher to pick me to read. Later, in college, I would read aloud to myself, trying to get my voice to mimmick how I "heard" the voices when I read silently. Even textbooks! When I later married and became pregnant, I read aloud to my children while they were in the womb, and have continued to read to them to the present time (14 years). They are prolific readers themselves now, but they still expect and look forward to being read to every morning before school. I've done VO for a missions documentary, civic theatre, traveled locally with a group of trained storytellers, performed monologues for church and civic groups. In short, I read out loud whenever I have the opportunity!

My Training

My undergraduate degree is in English Literature. I've performed in some civic theatre, church readings and reader's theatre. For a brief time I was involved with a storytellers' group.
