Voice Description

I have a deep professional sounding broadcasters voice which I've developed in training. Through my informal experience I have been able to develop the ability to tap into a multitude of voice over styles ranging from comedic cartoon characters, to an urban disk jockey. I am comfortable in all roles and I am constantly exploring the boundaries of what my voice and do.

My Voice Experience

While completing my undergraduate degree at Cal State Hayward I provided the voice for a Character named "Mel the moose" on a children's series called "Duck Duke Goose" at CNTV. I Also hosted and produced my own radio show, "Rip City Radio," while at Cal State Hayward. After graduating with a degree in Mass Communications, I completed an eighteen month apprenticeship at 94.1 KPFA. There I narrated features, produced segments, and hosted a weekly cultural magazine show "Full Circle." I am Currently the host of "Realitytime," a news and music show on Bigupradio.com

BS, Communications (Broadcasting option) 6/02
California State University Hayward, Hayward California.

-Hosted online show for KSUH radio in which I created play lists, announced events, and supported the daily operations of the radio station. Completed a six month internship with CNTV and learned the various elements that are involved in television broadcasting. Completed upper class work in broadcasting where I gained extensive training in voice over techniques.

-Became the voice of a recurring character, "Mel the Moose," for a television show produced at CNTV

First voice apprenticeship , 94.1 KPFA radio.
A comprehensive work/study program that teaches all aspects of radio broadcasting while working hands on in a in the radio station. Duties include;
--Narration, and production of a weekly community calendar for broadcast.
-Engineer for Free Speech Radio News.
-Produce and host weekly radio show "Full Circle."

Additional Skills

I have a very strong work ethic and I am constantly trying to grow and improve my voice over skills. As a result I have always been receptive to feedback and constructive criticism to produce the best work possible. Through my formal and informal training I have become a very well rounded voice over talent which has allowed me to make positive contributions to the projects I've worked on.
