Voice Description

My voice can best be described generally as fun, and animated for Hard Sell, and Testimonials, and warm, smoky, and professional for Industrial, and Soft Sell Copy. I speak English fluently, and I am able to perform a more Southern/Texan dialect, or accent as well. I can also perform character voices, with an "urban, Hip-Hop" flair.

My Voice Experience

From a very young age, I was told I had a very professional, and engaging tone of voice. I started using my voice from the age of 8 years as a member of the Texas Girls' Choir. As I grew in age, so did the intensity, and "smokiness" of my voice. I went to a Private School for the majority of my life, so I have also always had great diction, and a wide vocabulary. I consider myself to be both very energetic, and animated, even in my everyday speech. I love to use my voice as an artistic instrument in any way possible. For the last 10 years I have found an interest in voice related work, in addition to my work as a performing artist (Hip-Hop Vocalist). I am no stranger to the Recording Studio, as I have been recording since age 8. I am quite familiar with Studio etiquette, and the art of recording.

My Training

Starting from 2002, I have been taking either private, or group Voice Over Training. I received a Voice-Over Certificate from KD Studio in Dallas, Tx, completed on June 21, 2004. My instructor was popular Voice Talent, Randy Tallman, who has been in the business for several years. Our course work included, acting "on mic", training for spokesperson, narrator, and character roles. Other studies related to the industry, include vocal training with the Internationally renowned Texas Girls' Choir for 4 years, and my work as a Lyrical Performing Artist throughout the DFW metroplex over the last decade.

My Studio Equipment

I have an in home studio that uses Motu, Midi, and Steinberg Nuendo, with Nuendo, being the main recording program. I am able to record, pre and post production, complete with music, and or sound effects.

Additional Skills

Currently, I am looking forward to applying my skills, and training towards future projects in the Cartoon, and Radio, and Television Industries. I am available to travel (with enough notice of course), and I am excited about the opportunities that await.
