My Voice Experience

I have a variety of experiences using my voiceover talent. First of all, I have used my voice in the classroom as a teacher for many years. Also, I have emceed numerous retirement parties, cabaret shows, and talent shows. Another experience in which I have used my voice is as a reader in an 8,000 member congregation in my hometown. I have also recorded my voice on audio tapes at school to be used in novel study units for my students.

My Training

I have taken several workshops on voice overs and a private class on making demos. I have also acted in community theatre, sung in numerous choirs, and done several stories on a local cable television station. (My bachelor's degree is in special education, grades k-12, and in regular elementary education, grades 1-6. I also have taken almost 60 graduate credits in various educational topics.)

My Studio Equipment

We have various recording equipment, microphones, headphones, and a high speed Macintosh computer. We will send demo cds via email. (My husband has a degree in music performance and is very knowledgeable about audio engineering and will be my assistant in the voiceover business.)

Additional Skills

Again, my career in education which is speaking in front of an "audience" every day has been extremely valuable in using my voice. This also involves being very spontaneous and doing a great deal of ad libbing.
