I have been a teacher and have read many a children's story to the children in my classroom. I enjoy putting a lot of emotion and animation into my voice to help portray the story in the best and most interesting way. Because of the variety of subjects covered in my curriculum, I have been able to make many a children laugh, get scared, get worried, etc. due to my reading with intonation. I have also been able to conduct meetings using a microphone with clear speech.
I have a B.A. in early childhood education and have learned abouat voice overs only through the media and others working or training in the field. Teachers are always "on stage" and I was always concsious of speaking in a clear voice using whatever intonations necessary to keep my young student's attention. I have participated in choirs over the years, assisted in student productions of musicals and dramatic plays, studied music and art.
I do not have my own studio.
I have always been reliable and hard working. Speaking has been my link to understanding - for my students and parents and administrators to know what my goals and objectives were in my classroom and for each individual child. I am also easy going and have used a lot of humor to get my ideas across, sometimes bordering on bein sarcastic.
