My voice is distinctive,warm and sincere. It can be authoritative and deep or upbeat and even kooky. Since I am trained as an actress, my voice can reflect mood, emotion and has a lot of vocal ambiance capability. I have recently studied the art of the voice over with the incomparable Julie Amato.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can sound like a real person in just about any accent of North America and some of the British Isles. I can sound like a middle aged horse vet in Oklahoma,a youngish Vassar History professor or your aunt Mary's British grandmother.

My Voice Experience

I lived in the far east for several years and did extensive voice work there including film dubbing. I loved being the English language voice of Machiko Kyo, one of the most accomplished, beautiful and sexy Japanese actresses ever. I was the singing voice of the Chinese dragon princess in the film "Marco" with Zero Mostel. I have done many commercials in the New York and Boston areas. I look forward to many more voice overs now that I have my own studio!

My Training

I began acting in High School and went on to study drama and music at Ithaca College. I was also a guest artist at the Drummond Studio at Cornell University. I studied acting with Uta Hagen in New York City and I have an extensive resume of plays, musicals, commercials and voice work from that time. In the Seattle area, I have performed very often in productions of Shakespeare including the role of Lady Macbeth, Tatania in "Midsummer", Ariel in "The Tempest" and others. I most recently performed the role of Sister Aloysious in the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Doubt".

My Studio Equipment

I have a MAC OS X system, with an Mbox and a Sennheiser e835 microphone and I use Protools.

Additional Skills

I have been a theater director, choreographer and acting coach. I am passionate about delving deeply into scripts to mine clarity of meaning and intention. Acting and the array of vocal acting challenges are some of my favorite things to accomplish in life!
