Voice Description

I have a low, alto voice that most people describe as calming, warm, pleasant, reassuring, and (occasionally) sexy. My voice is ideally suited for presenting information, training, reporting, documentary work, corporate communications, storytelling, and annoying or frightening things like emergency announcements. I also have a series of exaggerated, upbeat characters and oddball comic accents with an entirely different feel. I sing well but I can also sing badly (if needed).

My Voice Experience

For work, I have done a good bit of narration for software training projects.

For fun, I record voice overs for friends' cell phones and sometimes record out of print children's books.

Additional Skills

I have worked as software trainer for many years, managing projects both in-person and remotely. I am comfortable working remotely and have a higher than average level of technical knowledge. I have traveled and worked internationally and am comfortable with international clients. I speak Hebrew and some Spanish. I have a quick ear for accents and am a good mimic. I'm willing to try new things to see whether I have any talent for them. I've done performance poetry and theatre work in the past. In my day job, I work as an academic reference librarian, so no task is too odd or geeky for me.
