Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I was born and raised in England, so I come by my British accent naturally. Since I love to speak other languages, I also enjoy speaking in foreign accents such as French, German or Italian. I can also adapt my Standard British dialect to sound Northern or cockney. I can handle medical terms easily since I studied Latin for many years. I am also a classical music enthusiast and can easily handle musical terminology in different languages, as well as the names of commposers and compositions. In my demo CD I also successfully imitate an old lady.
My Voice Experience
I have always loved reading out loud and addressing large groups. For many years I have wanted to become a voice actor, and this past year I finally signed on with a voice development company and made my first voice demo C.D.
My Training
I completed training courses with Voices and developed my first voice demo CD earlier this year.
I have a Master's degree in Romance Linguistics and can comfortably read and speak in French, German, Italian and Spanish.
I was a professional choir director for 13 years and have frequently sung in public.
I love to talk in front of groups and frequently do so in my regular work.
My Studio Equipment
No studio equipment at home at this time. However I have access to professional studios in Seattle.
Additional Skills
When I recorded my demo CD the technician described me as a "one take wonder". I also recorded some commercials for my own retail business, and the radio technician described me as "a natural".
