Voice Description

Susan Deming's voice has been described as "ham on wry". The natural texture of her voice is dry as toast, but within it are an infinite number of characters, from a giggly jitterbug to a warrior queen. For commercial work, think of her as a Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, but for presentations and narrations, her voice can be as smooth as Helen Mirren's. She speaks conversational German, French and Spanish and can do a number of dialects, including, Texas, Southern, Boston, New York, Chicago, Scottish, Standard British, Cockney, Irish, Eastern Indian, Eastern European, French, German, Spanish, Australian. She is an accomplished improv and sketch performer (The Groundlings, Second City, Improv Olympic) and has appeared as a stand-up comic throughout Los Angeles (The Improv, The Comedy Union, Comedy Underground), so she brings an improvisational talent to the microphone that has few rivals.

My Voice Experience

Susan's voice talent has been heard on a number of original animated projects, including "The Hackit and Hairball Show", "Binny Skitch" and "The Science Way with Mr. K." for Zoom Cartoons Entertainment, "Worlds of Wonder" for WOW, "Zoids Genesis", a pilot for Cartoon Network, as well as the video games, "Monty Python's Meaning of Life" for Panasonic, and "Final Fight:Streetwise" for Capcom. She performed a number of pre-school characters for the PBS pilot, "Small Potatoes" and lent her voice to both the CD-ROM game and Home video release of Bandai's "Tamagotchi".
