Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can do a really good/funny southern accents: SW Texas and Port Arthur, TX: (think Janis Joplin for the latter).
Also, I can do a good Flip Wilson "Geraldine" impression.
Also, Bill Cosby impressions when he used to do Stand Up.
I can also do rap and angry young rockstar Patti Smith type; like I can go on and on about what makes me angry about "the system" and have it sound authentic and intelligent.

Also, a crazy professor displaying her wacky research results displayed on an easel and using a pointer. Think Marx Brothers or W.C. Fields.

My Voice Experience

I have recorded audio subject tapes for a medical library.

For hospitals I have recorded audio books for in-patients (mostly fiction but also non-fiction or biographies).

I have audio recorded selected readings for English language students at Community Colleges (essays, short stories, and poetry).

My Training

B.A. English from San Francisco State University.

I've been a reporter on several beats: book reviews,
culture/society page.

I am knowledgable about opera (Bel Canto especially).

I have experience with microphones having done "open microphone" poetry reading of my own work.
