My Training
I have no formal traiing in voice over work, even having worked in the industry since I was 13 years old. (Some 23 years and counting)
There comes a point in everyone's life where the question is asked.... Where did you train?
My reply has always been and will always be:-
The university of life.
There is nothing like being sat in front of a microphone or camera and told to "get on with it" to inspire the mind.
I have no rule book in my head, no echo's lecturers telling me the "why's" and "why not's".
You ask, I give.
My Studio Equipment
I have a pure digital portable system at my disposal.
At it's heart is:-
MoTU 828MKII
I connect this to what ever equipment is required for the project at hand.
For VO work I normally use a Sennheiser ME3 headset, ensuring a clean and high quality capture of the natural sound.
Other microphones are available such as the classic Shure SM58.
If you have a prefered combination of equipment, please indicate this and I will make enquires amoung my associates.
I have contacts with various studio's if you would like a live connection.
Additional Skills
My 23 years in the entertainments industry has exposed me to various elements and I have collected skills along the way.
Originally I started out as a sound systems engineer, this has always been the backbone of my skill set.
My exposure in the industry means that I understand the numerous applications a voice over can be used in, therefore I can quickly identify the timbra that a project might require.
Importantly, I understand that at the last minute, the requirements might change and that flexibilty is king.
