Voice Description

Having been born in the states,grown up in England,then returned to US,my accent abilities are diverse.From a very posh british accent,to northern, to cockney,as well as many american accents. My voice is warm and ideal for documentary narration and professional presentation,adding class to any project.But from class to crass, it can be comical,cartoony and guy next door type for commercial work. I am also a professional singer,and can mimic many talents,including beatles,elvis,tom petty,dylan,any blues type and various other artists.

My Voice Experience

I have been a professional vocalist/bassist/guitarist and songwriter since the age of 17. With much recognition over my my ability to sing like the artists we cover, I started work at a radio station in Herts,England. Primarily there to assist in promos for the station,imitating whatever voice they needed,from Beavis and Butthead to Monty Python bits and any celebs voices.
I currently have just played the part of John Lennon in an NPR production of Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater. Working along side the great Jerry Nelson(of Muppet Show and Sesame Street fame)and writer/creater Steve Olney was a great treat and the production goes nationwide in January.

My Training

My training is fairly organic. Since i grew up around radio work and music,I naturally progressed from singer to voice over. When i was guest on a station to be interviewed about our band,the station's owner called the dj and said he wanted me working at the station as my voice was ear catching. Since then,ive done recording,radio stints and voice acting as well as maintaining an active band.

My flexibility in accents,tones,character,musical and singing ability enables me to meet many demands of any project. I have done extensive studio work including assisting in production. I have been a news reader,dj and actor on radio,as well as reading news for A.L.L., broadcasts aimed for the blind. I am a consummate professional who will also bring humor and personality to any assignment. I enjoy this career and it shows in my work.
