Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Standard American, Southern American (Cowboy, Red-neck, etc.) New York (BLue-Collar), RP (British), Queen's English (period accents like Jane Austin pieces, etc.) Cockney (authentic London accents including East End ganster types), Yorkshire, Indian (British), Irish (Dublin and Belfast), Scottish, German, Hispanic.

Impersonations of Shaggy (Scooby-Doo), Yoda, Gollum from Lord of the Rings, Dr. Strangelove and various cartoon personalities.

My Voice Experience

I most recently did voice work for various characters for a PINGU the Penguin audio-book for Children (The Pygos Group).

I have worked for BBC Radio and Worldservice voicing the roles of Ted Darby, Delivery Boy and Pawnshop Owner (Jewish accent) in THE BLANK WALL; An American soldier in THE TANK MAN about the sinking of US Ships of the Southern coast of England; and Ben and the Hustler in radio play production of SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION.

I also did various small roles in video games produced out of the UK.

Although not voice-over, I recently played the role of Peter Sellers in the US Premiere of YING TONG: A WALK WITH THE GOONS (The Wilma Theatre, Philly) about the crazy British comedy group that launched the career of Peter Sellers. I had to revive about 15 different characters and accents that Peter Sellers created for the group. This included Dr. Stranglove, the infamous and insane German who had a gloved hand with a mind of it's own!

As a composer, singer/songwirter, I have written music for short films and composed original music for a production of HAMLET at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

My Training

I earned a BA in Music and minored in Theatre at Pacific University in Oregon. I then completed a year post-grad, classical acting course at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

I was involved in classes during and after school at The Acotor's Centre (London) that concentrated on voice-over techniques including character voices.

My Studio Equipment

I use a Sennheiser, high-end microphone with pop shield and a mac computer to record voice-overs and music in programs like Logic and Garageband.

Additional Skills

As well as voice-over work, especially in cartoons, I would like to get involved in writing commercial jingles. It is just a matter of sending samples to the right people and I hope Voice 123 can help me make those contacts.

I play guitar, piano, drums and trumpet. And am a trained classical tenor who can also sing pop/rock, jazz and country styles to a high standard.
