Voice Description

My voice is deep, slightly breathy, and mellow. Being originally from the South, my southern dialects come easy and range from soft to hard twangs. However, my southern dialects are not noticeable in normal conversation, monologues, or dialogues.

I also have a mellow folk style singing voice with a prominent bass end and am comfortable in the range of low to middle C.

Whether politically correct or not, I'm also comfortable in caricature-like hispanic and african-american, british, and irish dialects.

Finally, my cartoon voices include, Goofy, Woody Woodpecker, old geezers, wimpy nerdish men, and effeminate men.

My Voice Experience

I performed a variety of voices for a 26 episode radio series entitled, "His Way," Charlotte, NC In it, I supplied the voice of Satan, Paco (hispanic),a narrator, plus a wide variety of short bits in different voices of anonymous characters.

For a time, on WSMC-FM 90.5, Collegedale, TN, I announced classical music pieces, artists and composers and also read local news, traffic and weather reports.

As a musician and actor in amateur and professional theatre, Charlotte, NC, I sang, danced, loved, diddled, and acted in dozens of productions.

My Training

My training comes primarily from experience but I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Adventist University with an emphasis on Broadcasting.

I also write and perform singer/songwriter like compositions on guitar and actively sing at festivals, restaurants, and coffeehouses in east Tennessee and western North Carolina.
