Voice Description
I have always been told I have a late-night, sexy, velvety, quiet storm radio voice type. I've been likened to Barry White and James Earl Jones. I know, however, I have the ability to also use my voice in many other aspects such as demonstration, documentary, cartoon, rugged persona-types, matter-of-fact. I have a playful personality as well and I would like to be able to have that reflect on air or in recordings.

My Voice Experience
I WILL MAKE YOU MONEY!!! CATCHY?? :)
I worked at college radio stations in Virginia 1989-1990(Emory & Henry College - WASP radio...yes WASP, wish I knew then what it stood for) and at the University of South Florida (WUSF) I recorded a couple promos but mostly did on air work and weather. I put a demo together many years ago as well and consequently was hired for a ocal company's training recording but family and my nursing career put my voice interests on the back-burner. I've been to interview sessions at Connecticut School of Broadcasting and they were very interested but the $15,000 tuition was discouraging. I know I am ready to re-explore this talent of mine.
My Training
I sang briefly, was in a stage production and took a semester of acting class in college. I hold a B.A. in Anthropology and am a registered Nurse, somehow that can be marketed in my voice career!
My Studio Equipment
My lab currently consists of my laptop and headphones.
Additional Skills
I am mature, low-maintenance, go-with-the-flow, professional, down to earth, take direction well, ambitious. I speak comfortably in front of others, I have done in-service presentations for my nursing job and lectured for nursing school classes.
