Voice Description

My conversational style is extremely natural, done with a nice, warm, deep, voice at a medium tempo. I connect well with my audience,and my listeners constantly tell me that they listen to my show because they feel like I'm talking directly to them. I'm a perfect fit for any male character voice needed from age 25-85. I get used often as the "husband" or "guy-next-door" voice. I can do a very convincing southern/cowboy/good-ole-boy style accent. My specialty is a hard/heavy sell (think: sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY!)that is my most popular request, particularly useful for radio and television spots needing voiceover excitement and impact for auto dealers, trade shows, concerts, etc.

My Voice Experience

I've had over 15 years of professional broadcasting experience on various radio stations in Texas and am currently employed by the #1 Country station in Houston, KILT-FM.

My Training

Some college. Most training and experience came through hands-on work as a full-time radio personality for over 15 years in Country and Rock music. I've added Program Director and Music Director duties when asked, but my true passion is behind the microphone.

My Studio Equipment

In addition to access to any and all equipment at the radio station where I work, I built my own home studio, with full production capabilities. All of my equipment is new and in perfect working condition. I'm able to consult with the engineer at my radio station if I run into any challenges that are beyond my personal expertise.

Additional Skills

As a radio personality in a top-10 market, I'm constantly pushing myself to be on top of my game. I've been told by consultants that my voice doesn't sound like anyone else out there, and yet, when you hear it, it comes across as being familiar. I'm big on BELIEVABILITY. I hear radio spots, both national and local, all day long that seem to lack that element of sincerity needed to be effective. With my experience, I'm able to add the all-important nuance of credibility along with a little extra "something" to any script I read, and that is what makes my clients happy.
