Voice Description

Vocally, I can do anything. Seriously. I am also a singer and have a somewhat impressive range from bass to baritone to tenor which I utilize to add more color to my work. Inflections for all occasions: big, booming hard sell, soothing soft sell or middle-of-the-road regular Joe and all the stops along the way! You want accents? I got accents: All American accents (Southern, Eastern, Northern and West Coast), all European accents (including the British Isles),Russian, Asian, Australian, Latino. I do quite a few celebrity voice impressions: Sly Stallone, Bill Cosby, Jerry Seinfeld, Presidents' Kennedy, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton and George W. Bush and Arnold Schwarzeneggar just to name a few (I do more, just ask!) I also do Shaggy and Scooby Doo, Kermit the Frog, Eric Cartman (South Park), Elmo (Seasame Street), Ren and Stimpy, Goofy and more...just ask. I never stop working on new accents. I can growl like a dog and howl like a wolf. I can raise the hairs on the back of your neck with a low, ominous narration or floor you with high energy hysterics. I can sing with country twang, smooth soul or metallic screams. I firmly believe I can deliver whatever you might need.

My Voice Experience

"HE JUST WON'T SHUT UP!" they would say. They were right.
I started mimmicking cartoons when I was 2 years old. From there I graduated to TV and movie stars. By the time I was in high school I actually had a list of nearly 100 impressions... at least 50 of those were convincing! Hehehe. Seriously, I never stop working on new impressions.

A 17-year radio veteran and production director, I have literally cut hundreds of spots for hundreds of satisfied clients.
I have earned 'Best Commercial' awards on 2 ocassions from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters (OAB) in 1999 and again in 2003.

Also in 1999, I was named a national finalist for 'best commercial' by Radio And Production

I received an honorable mention from the North Texas ADDY awards in 2003 (incidentally, the ONLY radio entry to make the cut).

Many of my former radio clients purchased advertising based on spec ads which I cut for them. Many also insisted on my vocal talents to continue purchasing ads.

I have done radio and TV voiceovers, telephone greetings, voice on hold and public address recordings.

On numerous occasions I have also been called upon to emcee or host many events, both public and private, such as local concerts, festivals and charity events. Heck, I even call BINGO at my son's school for the PTA!

For the past 4 years I have been the in-ring announcer for Asylum Championship Wrestling and the past 2 years as in-ring announcer for Impact Zone Wrestling. I was also the host of ACW-TV (2004-2005), a regionally syndicated television program featuring highlights and interviews of Asylum Championship Wrestling performers.

I have done amateur stand-up comedy in various clubs in Oklahoma and Texas.

In a recent survey, Americans were asked to name their number one personal fear. You know what most of them said? Speaking in public! That's just crazy talk. I thrive on it.

My Training

No formal training, just a lifelong obsession with my own voice...hehehe. 17 years in radio was my training. I remember growing up idolizing great announcers like Gary Owens, Bill St. James, Casey Kasem and the all time greatest, Don Pardo. I have also been a frequent performer in community theater and part-time karaoke host.

Additional Skills

I have been writing since I was very young. Short stories, essays, comic anecdotes and poetry. Mostly comedy. Writing ad copy always came easy to me and many a satisfied former client would sing the praises of my prose.
Comedy is my foundation, but I have also written in many different styles for many different occasions. Being a comedian, I have studied the art of comedy all my life. As a result, I have a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of funny stuff (especially Monty Python, Saturday Night Live and SCTV) and a true appreciation for the classics. I also posess a good cross-section of knowledge concerning movies, television shows and pop culture in general.
