My Voice Experience
For over two decades he was known as the voice of the U.S. Department of the Interior in the Nation's Capital with his voice-overs heard all over the United States. His assignments ranged from the narration of motion pictures, television programming and interactive presentations for the National Park Service, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and many other federal agencies. He's produced and narrated television programs for The White House; produced and hosted the nationally broadcast Country Music Salute to America heard on over 450 radio stations. Early on, he served as the chief announcer for The United States Army Band of Washington, D.C., as well as hosting the U.S. Army's monthly radio recruiting programs broadcast nationally. An experienced radio broadcaster he's been heard on the air in New York City, and worked on radio in Washington, D.C. Springfield, Massachusetts, Anchorage, Alaska and Norfolk, Virginia.

Steve honed his skills as a young man in New York City and was coached by some of the national network's finest announcers in the days that radio announcers were true specialists at their trade.

Steve Brooks served as Broadcast Officer nationally for the United States Department of the Interior and it's 8 federal agencies. He is an experienced script writer and has written thousands of public service announcements for the United States Government, as well as hundreds of radio and television commercials.
Steve hosted the U.S. Army Recruiting Service's nationally syndicated radio shows. He was chief write and announcer the The United States Army Band of Washington, D.C.
Following his retirement from federal service, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he continues his broadcast writing and production interests.
