Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Dialects: I speak mid-Atlantic, but have experience with Boston, New York, New England and variations on southwestern and southeastern American (I have speech and dialect training and can work up dialects for specified projects, given lead time). I also have experience with several British dialects including Midlands/North Country, southern Irish, Cockney and even a little Welsh.

I have extensive experience speaking Shakespeare and other classical theater and literature.

My Voice Experience

I began performing radio drama on WBAI radio in NYC in the early 1980's, as a member of the "Shakespeare Liberation Front" repertory company. This included character roles in the radio productions of "Coriolanus", "Measure for Measure" and "Romeo & Juliet", as well as a dramatization of "Alice in Wonderland", a program of Elizabethan Poetry & Lyric, and a variety of short stories. I have narrated several museum/industrial exhibits (including "William Wordsworth and the Age of English Romanticism" at the NY Public Library), and one documentary film. I have also recorded character voices for several documentaries and one video game (the character "Badger" on the "Mech Warriors 4" supplement). My most recent voice-over work included recording several of Shakespeare's sonnets for a podcast series about the book "Shakespeare by Another Name", which can be found here:
