I can do a multitude of different reads. I have extensive experience as a commercial voice over artist. I can provide hard sell or soft sell reads. I can have fun with it and am happy to take any direction from you. Heart felt reads for public service or concerned reads for newsy items, vnr's and the like. I have also narrated books with a specialty in childrens narrative.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can do accents but am at my best when provided an example to follow. I can duplicate the dialect, I just need to hear it first in most cases. British, Irish, and many others, again with an example.

My Voice Experience

I have 25 years in the broadcasting field. First in radio, then television. I have virtually done all aspects of television and currently manage an agressive commercial production department. I love doing voice-overs and the more variety the better. I have gone from a session where it's a closeout sale where everything "must go", to a heart felt read encouraging people to talk to their kids about drugs. Now clearly the call to protect your kids is a much more rewarding read because you are actually taking part in doing some public service... but the closeout sale is fun because it's really more challenging for me, for a voice over.

My Training

I majored in television production and recieved extensive tutoring in voice, diction, and delivery. I was a television reporter and enjoyed delivering the news in a conversational, real world manner. At times I am asked to voice over reports for a local telethon that features handicapped kids and their parents. I really enjoy doing this work because it gives me a chance to talk directly to people about real concerns and issues that they may not learn about any other way.

My Studio Equipment

Audio is mixed through a Yamaha Pro Mix 01 and I use a Shure dynamic studio mic for my voiceovers. Mixing is done on a pc using Sawpro.

Additional Skills

I can turn around your request quickly if necessary. I am familiar with baseball and have coached for nearly 10 years. Science and technology is a hobby of mine and I can't get enough of it.
