Voice Description

My voice as is has a lively feel to it and tends to be loud and carries easily. However Iam able to soften and manipulate my voice for many occasions. Strong, serious and adult for professional occaisons. Light and bouncy for more child like situations. Smooth, sensuous and sexy for intimate times. I can sound warm and inviting as well as harsh and cruel. In times where a more masculine approach is required I can lower several octives and sound similiar to a strong male voice.
When reading different charater roles I can change the pitch of my voice without hesitation and be consistent with each voice. Whether jumping from male to female or female to female there is a significant difference between each voice.
I am also able to portray sarcasm and cynicism as well as sounding happy, angry, sullen etc.
I also can speak Spanish at an amatuer level, and know few sentences in French. I can also speak with a variety of accents including but not limited to; British, Spanish, and French.

My Voice Experience

Picture a ninteen year old female. The image in your head is probably of a wet behind the ears young adult with no experience and minimal talent. Well, I'm not going to lie, my experience is at a minimal stance. However, and I must stress this, I am by no means void of talent. It is basically what I rely on to convince my audience that I am not mediocre. I am a college student and have taken 3 classes to support my credentials thus far. I have taken an Advanced Placement English class which is a high school class that is basically college level. I received a 4 on my last test, the highest possible being 5 so that clearly proves that I am not entirely off my rocker. I have also taken a speech class in high school which prepared me for my College Level Speech class. I excelled in both classes, and upon the end of my high school career I was selected out of an exceptional group of students to present a speech at commecement. I presented my speech to a crown exceeding 2,000 in EJ Thomas Hall alone, not to mention the people watching at home on Channel Nine. This proves I am no stranger to stress and can speak under any circumstances. In my college speech class I was one of the top students and was even asked several times if I was pursuing a career as a public speaker. I was paid the compliment of having a strong, clear, and confident voice as well as strong appearance. My speaking ability is not just limited to presenting a formal speech however. I am also an avid reader and am able to change my voice with each character, scene, tone and mood that comes about (I can even speak with an accent. Can we say 'sweet'?). I can be soft and quiet then LOUD and BOOMING. No matter what job may lie before me I will not back down and not rest until it is perfect.

My Training

I have taken a journalism course where nearly all of my articles have been published. I wrote on varied subjects that ranged from controversial, to liberal, to conservative. I was also a memeber of the musical department for a grand total of seven years playing first the flute, then excelling to the piccolo.
